Sounds like a fun investigation. I've always heard stories (from before my time) of an ME262 sitting at the former RCAF Downsview in Toronto for years just rotting away (I'm thinking 60s but will confirm with the sources I've heard this from). The military base was closed in the early 90s but DeHavilland (Bombardier) still has a facility there and operates the airfield. They build Ansons, Tiger Moths and Mosquitoes there during the war.

The story is a little fuzzy at the moment but I think one version of it has the 262 still buried on the field somewhere. Might be one of these lingering rumours with no substance, but tracing all the 262s that ended up in North America might help pin down if this is a plausible option.

Not trying to hijack your question about the U-234 example. I just can't recall off hand how many were brought directly to Canada as war prizes. Perhaps one from the US (U-234 after all the lusty booty made it back?) ended up here at some point? No evidence for that whatsoever and it seems unlikely but you never know.

I know that in later years there has been some trading back and forth. An example being the ME 163 that is in the NMUSAF - is was a Canadian war prize and since the Canada Aviation Museum (then National Aviation Museum) had two they send one stateside.
