I have a question about the stretched sprue rigging. I have never had good luck attaching the ends so it stays securely. Any advice on attaching?

I first drill a hole with a microdrill held in a pin vice. Then I insert the stretched sprue into the hole and secure it with a small drop of cyano (superglue) applied using the head of a pin.

i saw old lindberg brand on the post title & went running for the fire crackers..... but those are fabulous for such shoddy quality that they cranked out as a model maker. you must have done some serious mods to get those kits looking so gorgeous!!!

fyi.....as a kid i blew up / shot more lindberg brand models than any other, i guess if you have the knack even a poor quality made kit can look 1st class.

Quite a few of the 1:48 Lindberg biplanes are repops of old British "Inpact" kits, which are very nicely detailed even by today's standards (unlike some other Lindberg kits such as the Tiger, Cutlass, Draken, Starfire etc.) which I suspect were amongst the kits that you despatched all those years ago.

Is it sacrilege to show this? I built this bird some thirty years ago and eventually stole the propeller to build an early Hurricane. Now I'm recycling it into a scratchbuilt project that I've been thinking about building for some time.
