My auto body paint supply folks had no idea what the FS595
system was. They even called PPG on my behalf, and the
(otherwise nice) tech lady there didn't have any idea what
FS595 was either.
My plan is to get some scraps of aluminum (maybe 4"x4"
square) and airbrush plastic model (FSXXXXX) colors/paints
onto said panels and let my PPG dealer use their spectrum
analyzer to spit out a recipie for whatever color I want.
(The plastic model guys are nuts

and are sticklers
for accuracy!).
I do have PPG colors for insignia red, white & blue, as I had
a photocopy of a page from a logbook of a T-6 which was
repainted with PPG paint (they used Alumigrip 1206 Silver
for the over-all color).
