"I was a technician working on a 16mm documentary about the making of the film so I decided to shoot a bit of my own 8mm - all silent of course. I added the sound effects & music at home. The documentary was distributed with the feature DVD. It was a fantastic experience seeing all these wonderful old war planes flying again Many non-flyers were full scale models with lawn mower engines to make the props rotate, and were blown up."
