that looks like a b24 to me. no rear blisters, wing placement, i did notice that the nosewheel doors opened inward though, what does this mean?? :?: cool vid !!

It's a PB4Y-1, the early Navy versions had twin tails and no side blisters.
I was really grooving on that jeeps paint scheme!

ALL PB4Y-1's were standard B-24's painted in Navy colors. The single tail, side blisters, dual top turrets, etc. were on the PB4Y-2

Glad you like the video. The early Navy PB4Y-1 retained the AAF coloration. In mid 1944, they changed over to the blue/dull gray scheme. The PB4Y-2 had the tricolor scheme until replaced with the glossy sea blue.

somebody's fly is down?? the little panel on the landing gear is repeatedly flapping??? the zebra jeep?? the guy with the piece of long steel rod?? the fact that i don't know what the heck i'm looking for???

The film shows a PB4Y-1 Liberator and crew of VPB-116 landing at Tinian during August 1944.
