I think plain is a little boring and it's already been done. I think the opportunity to honor a veteran especially one who flew a Corsair should never be passed up.

Pretty fast with the camera there Jack! I guess when operating in the
fast-paced world of a flight deck, all of your reflexes get quicker!! That is,
if you were the one to get both of those shots of the rocket? I've already
"been bit" by one assumption today..I'd rather not go fer two!!

N3N3Jeff...If you go back to the 1st page of this thread, you'll see what
parameters and why they were established for the FG-1 color scheme.
(Something I should have done before replying to Mr. Smarts idea!)
They would prefer a scheme indiginous to pilots of the northwest U.S.

ps
Jeff, isn't the Antonov An-2 the last US military biplane?

Sorry but I can take credit for the photos. Only things I carried on the Flight Deck was a hernia bar and my load checklist. That's a brown shirt getting the h*ll outa dodge.

Yeah, I guess I should have read the 1st page.

N3N, last US Military Bi-plane............but I dont know if the AN-2 would be that either.............I think, its either Venzuala or Peru that has 6 Stearmans (yuk) still in use today in their airforce flying clubs.

Hi Jeff,

Whadaya mean "yuk"???? I'm a Stearman lover, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for the "N". I have a good friend with an "N" who lives south of me a few miles, and he seems to have the same attitude towards my Stearman projects. (I think he's jealous. ) I have to say though, it just drives me nuts when I see a beautifully restored N3N at an airshow with a group of people standing around it saying "Ooooh look at the pretty Stearman."

By the way, Mexico has the Stearmans still in use in their Air Force Flying Club.

Have a GREAT day!

Steve :D
