N3N, last US Military Bi-plane............but I dont know if the AN-2 would be that either.............I think, its either Venzuala or Peru that has 6 Stearmans (yuk) still in use today in their airforce flying clubs.
Hi Jeff,
Whadaya mean "yuk"???? I'm a Stearman lover, but
I still have a soft spot in my heart for the "N". I have a good friend with an "N" who lives south of me a few miles, and he seems to have the same attitude towards my Stearman projects.
(I think he's jealous.
) I have to say though, it just drives me nuts when I see a beautifully restored N3N at an airshow with a group of people standing around it saying "Ooooh look at the pretty Stearman."
By the way, Mexico has the Stearmans still in use in their Air Force Flying Club.
Have a GREAT day!
Steve
