The airframe was restored in Russia. I think the original aircraft remains were discovered on the Kurile Islands(?????) which are part of the former Soviet Union. The main difference between the P-51D and the P-51K is the prop. The D had a Hamilton Standard unit and the K had an Aeroproducts.
