The company I work for built the Westland Lysander for the Allied film. Using many original parts, it took 5 months to create and was very close to the real thing (as that was the instruction from the film company) and it cost a lot of money!
Wonder if we will be asked to make Spitfires, Hurricanes and 109s for the film? Sat by the phone waiting for it to ring....
Apologies for hijacking the thread.....
Best wishes,

The former Russell Group (Now Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar) ME-109e is almost ready for flight I hear so that would be cool to see dogfight an actual Mk.1 Spit or Hurricane.

It sure looked real to me, but I knew they would never risk damaging a live aircraft the way they did.T6flyer wrote:The company I work for built the Westland Lysander for the Allied film. Well, one of the recently restored Mk1 Spits (P9374) won't be in the UK for too much longer, as its currently being crated up to be sent across the Atlantic to its new home.
