Looking forward to hearing more about this. The original is probably my favourite aviation film (may TTT), so will be interesting to see it differs.

The company I work for built the Westland Lysander for the Allied film. Using many original parts, it took 5 months to create and was very close to the real thing (as that was the instruction from the film company) and it cost a lot of money!

Wonder if we will be asked to make Spitfires, Hurricanes and 109s for the film? Sat by the phone waiting for it to ring....

THAT being said I'm excited to hear about Ridley's take on the massive Battle. Heres to hoping he employs as many real aircraft as possible and actually films in the air. The former Russell Group (Now Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar) ME-109e is almost ready for flight I hear so that would be cool to see dogfight an actual Mk.1 Spit or Hurricane.

Well, one of the recently restored Mk1 Spits (P9374) won't be in the UK for too much longer, as its currently being crated up to be sent across the Atlantic to its new home.
