Here's a poll to gauge knowledge of something that might be added to the site in the future.

Okay - I'm a newbie. How do you participate in the polls? Are there boxes to check somewhere that I'm not seeing?

Thanks,
Zack

The kid at Radio Shack sold me a Blacktooth enabled Blueberry. He said I could listen to music on it.

The check boxes and the submit button disappear after you’ve voted. Then you can see the results.

I'm a Luddite, but I have a son in high school who both handles all my technical support and cleans out the refrigerator.

So who can explain why my avatar doesn't show up anymore?

Basically a mp3 is a digital audio file, a pretty standardized one that almost anybody can listen too on thier computer or portable mp3 player

A podcast is essentially an audio program created in the mp3 format. These programs can run the gamut from music to talk shows and anywhere in between. You download the program and play it on your computer or mp3 player (or even make an audio CD and listen to it that way)

My thoughts for the future include creating an occasional podcast show featuring interviews, stories and bull sessions that occur at aviation events and gatherings. It's just a concept at them moment and I wanted to gauge wiether it would be worthwhile given the computer skills of our community. Apparently most of you could deal with this and those that can't will be dragged kicking and screaming along with us. :) Think of it as a custom radio talk show revolving around our community and Warbirds in general.

I am thinking of doing phone interviews with some of our members. What information would you like to know about your fellow WIXers, What questions would you ask? I will be talking to some of our more active members soon and requesting interviews once I get the technical things sorted.

Well Scott, you could inspire yourself from "Flying Visit" in Aeroplane Monthly to see what questions you could ask.

The poll is at the top of the message, you should see several options and a vote button, if it shows the different catagories and number of votes then you've already voted. :)

I had the same problem with this and Rob's poll the other day. It showed the results without my voting, or being able to. Just now I was about to post a reply, when I found I was no longer signed in. After signing in, the poll worked for me...........

Edit: of course for some reason I can't see my own avitar, just a red check mark in the box where it should be, probably my computers out of whack........

Actually that has someting to do with Scott having upgraded the forum software after some hackers had a go at it. You need to reset your avitar yourself. I haven't done mine yet. I don't remember where I put the original.
