I'd like to know too, Steve. The latest update, that I've seen, remains the photo-compilation that was posted by Max Haynes almost exactly a year ago (
http://vimeo.com/21704963) - the link with photos posted by TriangleP are a bit older. I believe it was mentioned that the center section is the single most complex and lengthy portion of the airframe to rebuild/restore (with all of the plumbing and wiring that goes into it as well), and I believe it was very near/on the verge of completion when these latest update-photos were taken around this time last year, having been far enough along by that point, that it was mated with the two fuselages (which also seemed very close to completion and fitted out themselves (with the exception of mounting the engines and cowl-work)). Note too, in one of the photos, the horizontal sitting in its jig, waiting to be mounted to the airframe. While I'm not expecting to see it at Oshkosh this year, what an amazing surprise it would be if it did show up! A couple of years ago it was announced through EAA, that both of the P-82 projects would debut together at the Oshkosh 2013 air show, but the C&P example has been quite a bit further along than the other.
There are some neat photos from the C&P hangar also posted here, but these photos were taken over
two years ago (but even then, you could see how far along portions of the project were already):
http://minnesotawingblog.blogspot.com/2 ... rkers.htmlC&P also own P-51D Ridge Runner III, which they brought to Oshkosh last summer (and there was a rumor they also have a P-51H project (also as of last year), though I don't know if that was confirmed or not).
