This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Here's fun topic for speculators. What aircraft should fly in 2006 that are currently finishing up restoration.
Warhawk Air Museum A/B/C Mustang?
Jack Roush's B/C Mustang?
3rd Me 262?
Oscar(s) ? finally
Kermit's P-12?
FHC's Jug?
FHC's B-25
FHC's FW-190
Spitfires?
Hurricanes?
How about anything out of New Zealand?
Gerry Beck's A model Mustang
FHC's Zero
Could be an exciting year.

I don't know about that one. Have they found a third buyer? I know when I was there the fuselages had be built and the wings for airframe #3 were well underway. Are they still working on any of the Me-262s or are they working on the 109s full time now?

Lone Star Flight Museum will be displaying a new Hurricane restoration in Spring of 2006. The paint shop is currently awaiting it's arrival from Colorado...

Have either of the new 262's gotten air under their wings since delivery to their new owners, if in fact both have been delivered?

Last I heard they were both 'on their way' to the respective owners. The one destined for Germany definitely hasn't flown in that country.

The Dixie Wing's LT-6 and L-16 will both fly in 2006. We hope to have the LT-6 flying in the first few months. If anybody is interested, we are currently looking for flying sponsors for both aircraft.

Possibly two Spitfires from Historic Flying:
MkVC JG891
MkXVI RW386
Another Spit, a MkIX, should fly next year (if not before then, since it was recently undergoing engine runs) - Peter Monk's TA805.
