With so many game rooms, chat and forums, like this one, on the Internet, what happens if you suddendly drop dead ?. How your relatives or friends can make known to your internet friends that you are no longer here ?. You have to realize that some of these frienships are very strong.
A guy said that he wrote a letter to be open upon his death, with his " nicks " and addresses so his relatives could let everyone know he´s flying high. Other used a USB with all the info.
What would you do ?. Do you care ?

No offense, but I'd be dead so I wouldn't care much. I suspect many of us know others on the board well enough that word would likely get out. You can't keep things a secret on the internet for long you know!

I'll be dead and won't care but...I do have my nicknames and passwords written down so that these loose ends can be dealt with...A stray e-mail from some unknown warbird guy may be weird for my wife...but if she knows where it's from she may be able to better deal with it.

Not that it will matter to me...but I also have a will...I think it will matter to those left behind.

What prompted you to write this?

I just saw an online Yahoo article on this subject the day of the original post, so I suspect that is what prompted the question, not a cry for emotional help. On the other hand, I haven't played a psychiatrist on TV for many years, so I could be very wrong.

I have no plans to cash out anytime soon!:)

This dark subject is something most folks don't think about until it is too late...I learned this several years ago when a friend of mine was killed in a car wreck and he had no will.... at 35 years of age, he had never thought it was necessary....it is something old folks did.

He had minor children and a wife that were left with a house and car and bank accounts in his name. It took a long time and some cash to settle his estate.

There are things that people need to think about and take action on now for the sake of their loved ones and their estate, especially if there are minors involved.

Wills to clarify what happens to what and who, power of attorney for health care, durable power of attorney for everything else, the disposition of insurance, bank account stuff like pay on death or joint right of survivor...and silly stuff like your Blockbuster account and you e-mail and forum stuff.

Take care of it yourself so your family is not burdened with it.

There's my sermon for the day....

Not sure if anyone has heard of the term "porrnn Brothers". Its where you show your best friend where your porrnn stash is hidden. He in turn shows you where his is. If one of you die you go straight to your friends place and get his porrnn. There are two upsides to this.

ONE your family doesnt find it when they are going through your stuff and find out you were a deviate.

TWO you get to add to your porrnn collection.
Hope this lightens things up a bit

Let's hope they're not close friends.
