the painted glazing in the nose of the a-20 is a unique twist to fresh authenticity, as is the army color olive drab pby.

I'm not sure where the 'official' came in. That's the RAAF Museum; photos by a recent visitor, not official photos of the museum.

The Official website for the RAAF Museum is here: http://www.defence.gov.au/RAAF/raafmuseum/

Tom, both those schemes and setups are correct and genuine for the aircraft. The 'A-20' is a Douglas Boston used with the gun nose by the RAAF - yup, that actual one. Originally ordered by the French, Hitler got to Paris first, so they were taken on by the RAF, diverted to the Dutch East Indies, but Tojo turned up, so the RAAF took them, third-hand before being uncrated! and gladly. An RAAF VC was won by a Boston pilot.

The PBY is an ex Canso representing a particularly historic RAAF Catalina.

The front end of that A-20 is sure "all business", isn't it? What a beautiful job.

BDK - that's the piloted development version of the Jindivik target drone called the Pika. Take a look at:

That's fantastic! I want one on those!!!!! Thanks for the link. Kind of reminds me of the piloted V-1s, but this looks a little more well thought out.

As JDK has said these are obviously UN-OFFICIAL images of my visit to Point Cook, and Sabredriver should change the misleading thread name.
