Interesting: on first glance I thought Brewster too, but not Buffalo: I thought SB2A Buccaneer/Bermuda. However I think Jack's right...an early model SB2C Helldiver front cowl. Pretty cool find, in any case!

To me it looked too small to be from a helldiver. But what do I know? I've only seen a Helldiver once in my life.

But ya from the pic it does look like a Helldivers. Too bad we don't find stuff like this all the time.
