This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Boy, that really takes me back. I rode a few years back
and have wonderful memories and an album of photos.
It's something everyone should do when the opportunity
presents itself. Yes, it's a lot of money but the costs of
maintaining/flying those birds ain't cheap either. I go
every time they come to the Mobile/Pensacola area and
buy something to support them, go through the planes,
and see and listen to the vets who will be there.
Blue skies,
Owen

Scott said on another thread:Oh yeah, I liked the B-17 better by far and I'm glad I chose that one to be my first ride
Yeah Scott, I can see you're really suffering here. I'm sure we are all sorry that we nagged you into going back up on Sunday.
Thats it, no more B-24 rides for you mister.

Nice shots Scott. I can't wait till I get a chance to take a ride on the 24, and grab some photos of the Twin Cities area from that vantage point.

It's well worth the money in my opinion, I'm going to see about booking a ride for my father for his birthday when they tour through Florida next year.

Some great pictures. Scott where where they taken? You really needed to move to the nose if you were able. But hell any ride in a great bird like the Dragon and its tail is one to take!

I would have tried to get to the nose but there wasn't really an oppurtunity to do so as most of the others on the flight spent most of it in the nose. I'm a big guy and I didn't want to crowd the nose. At one point I was alone in the tail. It was too much fun and the B-17 ride was even more so.

Scott
Did you have a camera with you on the B-17 flight? If not, I wish I'd know that I would have given you one of mine for some pictures. Next time I guess.

I had my camera with me but decided not to take it because I just wanted to enjoy the flight and not worry about the pictures. Next time though I will definately bring it.
