Hello,

I’m Belgian but a part of my family come from Normandy.

During the summer of 1944, an engineering “section” (I don’t know its exact type or size but probably average 100 soldiers) stayed during a few days at the “home” of my family.
(Some soldiers left some personals objects, but never return to take them.)
I hope to find information about this “section”: where they came, where they went after that, etc…
I only know the name of the captain who was the commanding officer. (I don’t know if it’s correct to put a name on a public forum?)
If somebody here has an idea where I can have any information?
I send a mail to http://www.usace.army.mil, but I didn’t receive any response.

Any help will be very appreciate
Thanks
