B-25C 41-13285

I was wondering whether anyone had any current information on B-25C 41-13285, which was recovered from Lake Greenwood, SC in 1983. Is she associated with a museum, and is there anyone I can contact about potentially visiting her?

Many thanks. Yes, I had seen that. I just wasn't sure that she was open to the public, or who is looking after her. If anyone knows, I would really appreciate the information.

Hi Richard,
It's been several years since I looked at "Skunkie" but I think you can go to the FBO at Owens and either go onto the ramp yourself or be escorted to look at the plane. Unless someone like Gary has worked wonders since I saw her, you may be SERIOUSLY disappointed (not trying to be mean, just honest). The last time I saw her she had metal beams connecting the gear so they could not make the mounts rip out of the collection of corrosion (more bondo than skin left). I'll try to get you contact info for the FBO later today and maybe some pictures. The plane was in only 50 feet of water, then once pulled out left outside for over a year before any cleaning or corrosion treatment was started. Even after alot of hard work to make a rough static she has been left outside without much TLC for years. (I may be wrong on this part, I really hope thinks have changed since I saw her last!!!)

Thank you both... judging by the meta data on that image, it was taken in November, 2002. It looks like they have at least given her a new coat of paint. I can't believe that they store such a valuable aircraft outside though... such a shame!

I may be wrong, but I thought I had read that is was moved indoors at the airport. Not a very large facility, but at least out of the elements.

I seem to remember seeing it in a white hangar. I never saw it in person, a friend of mine was there, and took pics.
