That's the old B-29 nose from Travis, "Big Time Operator" now owned by the New England Air Museum. It was in that location at NEAM while they stripped parts off of it for "Jack's Hack". It's now stored right side up.

Was that particular section ever in the cutsody of the Air Force Museum? I toured thier storage building in the late '90s and saw a B-29 forward fuselage way back in a corner, standing on end with the nose pointing straight up. It looked like it had the "Big Time Operator" nose art, but we never got close enough to get a decent look.

Yes Steve,
It was part of their collection. NEAM made a trade deal and acquired the nose a few years ago to help with "Jack's Hack". No plans at this time for "BTO".

The shame of it was, that nose section was once in decent shape and on display with an extended nose gear at Beale AFB. Now look at it.

Thanks..mystery solved. Too bad it's in such rough shape now, but at least the parts were put to good use.
