Last summer I dug down deep into my pockets and bought myself a new digital camera. It's a 5 megapixel Kodak Easyshare Z 740 with printer dock. I mentioned this in another thread last night and I posted up some stills and a couple links to some video I have shot as well and posted on youtube. ( http://www.youtube.com/user/M3A1Stuart )
I was toying with the idea of posting a few of my pictures when I recieved and very nice compliment via pm. That has pushed me over the edge and I'm going to take some time to post some of my personal fav's.

WARNING:There are no warbird or any other aviation related photos here. I have not been anywhere that I could take such photographs since I bought the camera. April is coming though and I plan to get to NEAM and get some piccies.

All of the photos have been tweaked using Picasa 2. I tend to adjust the color and sharpness of the photos just a tad.

Here are a few more. I need to go through all my files and see just what I have. I'm not going to post any of my cardboard camera pictures so I'm pretty limited right now to trains and landscapes.

I liked the train shots.
My great uncle was a engineer for the Great Northern in the late 1800s
so have always liked them!!

I have lived next to this line for 40 years. Trains are in my blood. Check out the train video I shot with the same camera. I have them posted on youtube and the link is in my first post.

Nice pics! I've been most happy with my little EasyShare..only thing I didn't like was that it only has a 3X optical zoom (not good for airshows.) I upgraded to a Canon PowerShot S2 last summer..still only 5mp, but with a 12X zoom.

Actually, I was forced to upgrade after I dropped the Kodak into Lake Michigan. Amazingly, after I popped the case apart and rinsed the sand out (figured I couldn't hurt it any worse) then let it dry for a few days, it worked just fine. It's been a little flaky lately though..I think it may finally be dying.

Mine has a 10X zoom. Now I just need an airshow to try it out. :wink:

These are some great pictures. Seeing the trains really make me think of when I was young and my dad bringing me to the Sac train museum and the skunk train. Good work! Cheers!

Warhawk, since you live in the area, spell this phonetically for me, please;

Quechee

is it pronounced "cue-chee" or "kwee-chee"?
