This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Gentlemen,
The PIA had a four-engine Vickers Viscount used for training purposes in the early 1960 period. It was later scrapped sometime in the late 1970s.

First off, it sounds like there are some true Pittsburghers here. Hey is at Donnie Iris? AS for the Vickers, I never saw any pics of that, but in the lobby of PIA there was a pic of the school with a B-24 in front of it.

I actually forced myself to say y'all because I didn't like the sound of yinz/younz/yunz.

Same here, I say y'all. I just got back from PIA, and the man handling the N3N project was at a doctor appointment. But I left my name and number, and they confirmed to me that they do have the N3N. I will keep you updated.

My mom grew up there and in normal conversation she doesn't have a bit of the accent however if any of her friends or relatives call her on the phone she is instantly saying yinz, dahn er, hauscome, gumbands, down the run, etc. She hangs up the phone and she is back to talking California.

Boy, I sure do miss Primanti's and Eat-N-Park. Grew up in Bethel Park.

What is Mustang 45-11464 it doesn't show on the Registry?

Ahh, it has been ages since I have had a Primanti's. I used to love when I was a kid my uncle would take me down to the Strip District and we would go to Primanti Bros. I hear they are all over town now. Now I am just getting hungry. I could go for an Armstrong's Reuben with a side of baked ziti right about now.
It's funny though, somehow all the years I have gone back there and I never made it out to the airport at in Beaver. Next time I go back I am going to have to check it out.

Permanti's has expanded, they have a few places all over the city. The Beaver coutny airport is where I learned to fly. All 4510' of runway 28/10 was my home for the summer that I was learning. Now I work and fly at KAGC. There is also an F-86 on the field at KBVI.
