Thanks Tim. Yeah, she's a good egg. She's actually sat through Geneseo for three days and flown with Warbird Adventures, but that all ended after we got married. We just came from a sonogram, and the date has been moved up to the 17th. Her mother will be staying with us for the baby, so I'll be there!

You have to be there for the birth of your baby. You have to be there for your wife.

But... :D , if your baby comes early....bring the pictures for all us WIXer's to see!

We bought the grandstand tickets, after a few hours of walking around, it'll be nice to have a place to site, should we wish to, that's what we found out at Reno, since we're flying in commercially and we will not have chairs with us.

I've added some GPS coordinates to my web site GoM help page http://upaero.com/mustanggathering.html

Sounds like it's shaping up to be a grand weekend!

Hello All,

I'd really like to make this one, and its looking like a distinct possibility. I have a couple of questions though and the website was kind of vague.

Does anyone know what the Friday sched is like? Is it a full airshow? I'm thinking I'd like to walk around an look at all the mustangs on the ground Friday and then just sit down and enjoy the show on Saturday.

What type of seating is everyone opting for? Are the grandstands good for photogs? Better than box seat? Will there be a photo pit like Thunder?

.....and finally...(Mostly for my dad as I'm dragging him along)...any good Brewpubs in the area?!

I'm sure someone in the know here can answer some of these.

Thanks,
Pete

I'm thinking of ordering my grandstand tickets for the 4 day events. It looks like I don't want to miss out and keep my options open.

Ordered airline tickets for me and my girlfriend to California the other day. She can enjoy the sun in LA while I jet over to Ohio for three days to look at Mustangs. So, I guess I'll be there too... :D

I ordered my ticket today, I went for the 4 day Grand Stand Pass.

Some on FenceCheck were talking about car pooling into the show, I think that might be a great idea for us staying at the same hotels. It sounds like this show could be a traffic train wreck

U guys, where are you all staying?
I called the Comfort Inn at Obetz but they are full.
Carpooling sounds like a great idea, and maybe a beer in the evening? ;)

The GOML website has some suggestions. The Inns in Obetz are both now full I think as they are only four miles from the venue but the bigger hotels in town may still have rooms (Grove City is another possibility, there is a Hilton there). The Americinn on the field must be booked up now (presumably by the event organisers for officials and Mustang owners, VIP's etc, but I have not checked yet).

From Fresno-Travelocity booked me roundtrip with three nights, Thurs-Sat, at the Best Western Executive Suites. Just booked yesterday and they seemed to have plenty rooms available.
Maybe we could all meet early Sat. in front of .....you pick the Mustang. I'm partial to A and B models...
