"New" C-47

The WWII Airborne Demonstration Team just took delivery of our "new" C-47. The plane just successfully completed its ferry flight from Atlanta to Frederick Army Airfield, in Frederick Oklahoma.
As you all know it's going to take a little bit of elbow grease to get it configured to suit our purposes, but we will get it there.

I saw it when it was at the Kissimmee Airport in Florida a few years ago. I am glad that it is in a good ome.

I was not directly involved in the acquisition of the AC, but I'm pretty sure that it was the best candidate of the planes that we knew were available.
Hopefully we'll keep her airborne for another 60+ years!!

I'm happy to announce that we have also just aquired the C-47A that we have been using for the past several years.
Now we will be operating 2 DC-3/C-47s. Formation jumps are in our near future.
This could not have happened without the generosity and cooperation of Bruce O'brien, Ray Cunningham, and Paul Rasys.
As always we are on the lookout for Pilots, mechanics, crew, sponsors,and of course jumpers.
