Hello,
I'm located a bit far away (although I hope to someday travel to the Air Force Museum ) but would you mind taking some detailed pics of the Seversky P-35 displayed there? It is important for my research and I would really appreciate it.

Not a problem. The A-17 is a wonderful restoration. It is also nice to see the B-18 out and on display. The B-23 that is in storage will be going into restoration soon, so it will be nice to see it out as well.

Where will the B-23 be displayed after restoration?

Good to hear the B-23 will be getting some TLC. Last time I saw her (late '90s) she was in the restoration hangar minus outer wings (and maybe engines..I don't recall.) They had removed the long civilian nose, and discovere the oringal nose with windows was still there underneath. The had also acquired a really beat-up tail gunner's station. At that time, the EB-47 seemed to be the "hot" project that was getting the lion's share of attention. Of course, that airplane looks fantastic now. I hope they can polish up the Dragon just as well.

The Dragon will be polished, and will have the original windows in it's nose. With all of the projects that have been completed it made a little room for The B-23 to come to the restoration shop. It is no there yet, still in storage, but is next to move over, although most of the man power is on the memphis Belle right now.

It is going to the early years hangar because the end of the early years eases into some of the WWII aircraft. Since it will be marked in it's pre-war colors, this will be a good spot for it.

They'll have to completely re-arranged the Early Years gallery (again) to make her fit. The B-23 is a big airplane!

Yes and no. Two of the aircraft that were on loan form the NASM were recalled to Washington D.C. They both came from the same area in the gallery, so it will not be too bad of a move.

Which loaners did they lose? I didn't notice anything missing when I was there in December.

Come to think of it, I don't recall seeing the Loening seaplane on my last visit..don't recall what else may have been missing.
