Lincolns in Argentina

Can anyone CONFIRM that there is more than one Lincoln remaining in Argentina? There is a constant rumour of a second machine as a gate guard but no-one has ever posted shots of it as far as I am aware.

I don't know anything about it, but that is rather exciting to think that there are some lincolns out there. Keep us all posted if you find anything out.

This article indicates that TWO examples of the Lincoln survive in Argentina.

I have known about one, the second example I have yet to see photos or any documentary proof.

It sounds like one of the Lincolns is at an air museum in Buenos Aires. I'm having a difficult time finding any more information on this museum, and same with the other Lincoln.

Two Lincolns still exist intact and on display in Argentina.

One is on a pole in the park at an Airforce Base, the other one is now undercover in their National Museum.

I have some pics that I will try to post if anyone is interested, I had to delete them from the KP Forum site due to storage limits but the Argentine Lincolns were discussed on that forum last year.

B-004 at Buenos Aires (as B-010) never actually flew with the RAF, it went straight from production as RE351 to open store at Langar, from where it was selected to be refurbished for the Fuerza Aerea Argentina (Argentine Air Force).

B-016 was a Lincoln B.2A built specifically for the Fuerza Aerea Argentina, and displayed at the end of its life at the Lincolns’ main operating base as B-017. Apparently, during one of Argentina’s revolutions, B-016 sustained damage from cannon fire from a Gloster Meteor of the opposing faction!

B-004, painted as B-010, is at the Museo Nacional de Aeronáutica at Morón.

B-016 is at Villa Reynolds Air Base in San Luis province.

Both were still present last year - I saw them both myself in 2005. Sadly, the one at the museum is kept outside.
