It's nice to work on something different for a change...

Gumby came back through Midland today to gas up on his way back to Galveston, from the Heritage Flight training thingy. We noticed a small bit of hydraulic fluid on the side of the airplane and traced it down to the top of the reservior seeping a tiny bit. No biggie, but he asked me to see if I could fix it real quick, which is what I did. Andy had my camera and snapped a couple of shots for me........

Gumby just left in the Jug about a half an hour ago and should be arriving at Lonestar soon. It was awful nice of him to let me work on their airplane again. I miss working on the fighters.

Well, the Skyraider is kind of a fighter.....

But truth be told, THE JUG IS MY FAVORITE AIRPLANE. Human nature, everybody wants whatever they don't have.

You bet it is! :D

What I meant by "I miss working on the fighters," is just that. After working on your Skyraider a couple of weeks ago and then the Jug yesterday, I miss the variety of cool airplanes I used to be fortunate enough to work on. Now don't get me wrong, it's an honor to be able to work on the bombers, but I tend to enjoy the fighter work more. Everybody has their favorites, you know. ;-)
