SORRY... I don't have time to answer, I've got to finish cleaning the B17 flaps for inspection, get on the power quadrant rebuild for Texas Raiders, hang carb and accessories on the N3N-3, (Learn how to fly the N3N-3 at West Houston Squadron CAF  ) sleep, file the paperwork for the JET PROVOST, sell B-17 and other warbird parts for Gulf Coast Wing CAF, take a nap, go keep current in the citabria (taildraggers) so I CAN fly the N3N-3.
OH YEAH and go to this weekend's March 10th, HANGAR DANCE at West Houston Squadron (IWS) complete with live band and warbirds dripping in the corner.

Then... :axe:

I work out at MAPS as much as I can on the F-4 Phantom and I also work the Line Crew at the Air Shows.
This year, I'm also getting involved in planning the Wings Over Akron Fly-In (I'm also the webmaster for http://www.wingsoverakron.org) :D

It sounds like all us are somehow investing most of our time, energy and money in War Birds. As for me, I was spend a lot of time working with the CAF’s Red Nose Mustang but now I am trying to focus my time on raising some $ for a certain B-25 that is out there. I have not been able to play with that airplane for about a year now.

In my spare time I am the official floor sweeper at the Dixie Wing! I don’t care what it is I love spending time around the birds. The Dixie Wingers make the experience even better. There are about 30 “hard core” volunteers that are down at our wing Tues, Weds, and Sats. One of these days I am going to have to post some pics of our wing.

The camaraderie that our wing has forged over the years is the real reason I keep coming back for more.

Request for information on B-25J:

The Collings Foundation is scheduled to visit Camarillo, CA Airport the week of May 2-4. In addition to their B-17 and B-24, this will be the first visit of their B-25 in our area.

Does anyone have any history of their B-25?

Dave

Actually I think not, but those who are not would feel foolish responding to this thread full of impressive involvement just to say "No". So I'm starting a new thread that puts the question a bit differently. See: "Are you happy with the warbird choices you've made in your life?"

Have you been out to Eagle Field?

Tue Mar 06, 2007 5:32 pm

I am involved in the maintenance, display, flight and nearly every aspect of operation of both of our airplanes. I have been involved for 12 years.

No I keep meaning to get up there. We go up to the Bay area on business several times a year and one of my favorite Mexican restaurants is in Los Banos. I plan on going soon. I think they have a website.
