You guys might not think anything of it, but I think that it is sad. Why kill Capt. America? Just stop making the comic books if it is not making any money, but to kill him is a sad attempt at Liberal humor in my opinion.

Yeah and Superman got killed too. Last time I looked he was doing pretty good.

I agree with you Chris! It is kind of sad!

Why couldnt they just retire him!

Yeah, and in comic book world, you are never really dead dead......someone's pen can always bring you back to life a few issues or new series later.

Just look at how many times half the X-men died in their comics! Sad day, but who knows....

For the most part, it's a nice way of freshening up the character(s). You blow up the old storyline and put a fresh start into the series. It gets rid of the old baggage & backstories that accumulate from the various writers. "The Green Latern" is a good example of this. AFter killing off the original latern, they've replaced him and gone in a different direction. It's been good for the franchise.
Never been a huge comic book guy, but I like what Frank Miller did with the Batman series and in turn "Batman Begins."

Caps was too policitcally incorrect for the current PC folks to have around. I'd rather have Cap in my foxhole than a PC late' lapper.
