Thanks Sledge for the explanation, I wouldn't have found by myself this one, except with having a very very long look at the Californian FAA cards.

This airfields were reloading bases at the period of the pictures, or were they taken during airshows?
No more than 34 TBM to look at and the TBM tanker list is finished. It is longuer than I expected, but I hope to finish this week.

All the flying shots were taken during actual fire missions.

The last year for CNO as a reloading base was 1969.

For ONT was 1977.

Closeup of marking on #75. It appears that the buzzard is lighting a cigar on the forest fire which is the cause of the sparks/smoke trailing back along its belly.
