You guys have no imagination! Some of the best nose art anywhere was worn by the 49th FG in PNG and all we see these days is endless sharks mouths! Sure, some of it is not really PC these days, but they were young guys, a long way from home fighting under some pretty adverse circumstances. I think it is about time greater tribute was paid to them.

I would add 7 to it and paint it like "Big Ass Bird".

We've had an open question with no direction as to what to choose, and a suggestion of Curtiss' own aircraft painted to highlight ALL the P-40s sold.

Where's the 'you guys' here?

I'm sorry, the Curtiss scheme is very noble, but I find the sharks mouth thing very tiresome and has been done to death.

I like the 325th FG or "Checkertail Clan" scheme of brown and tan over azure blue with the entire tail in black and yellow checkerboard with red spinner...

I kind of like the all natural finish, like the Maude Family has.
