I'd love to see a Essex Carrier re-converted to a straight deck and with a full complement of aircraft, A real CAG, bombs (fake ones are ok for this dream), bomb-carts and other real life support equipment staged on deck getting ready for a combat lunch. Everything set but the crew. That would be my dream.

I'd also want it real flight ops dirty too! amybe even the oder of the CHT tanks being purged for those who've never had the joy of that smell!

I'm kind of partial, but here goes....

2 SB2U's, THE XF4U prototype, one F4U-1a (preferable Ike Kemford's or Tom Blackburn's!), three OS2U's (2 Float, 1 Land config), Two TBU's, Two F5U's, the V-173, Two VS-44's, Two S-43's, Two Biplane Corsairs, two R-4 Helio's, the VS-300.
All displayed at the old Vought-Sikorsky hangers in Stratford, CT.

...and if you're wondering why I said "two" of each kind for most of them, that's so one can be on display in a museum setting and the other can be a flyer!
Nothing worse than going to see a museum that flies their aircraft and finding out that most of them are gone to an air show!

The ultimate would be "restoring" the LZ 130 Graf Zeppelin, sister ship to the Hindenburg. Only part of the bow remains however finding a way to incorporate that into a replica would be awesome. The only thing I would change would be to use Helium instead of Hydrogen for the lifting gas (for obvious reasons).

hanger deck with restored WWII USN aircraft. The Lake Birds
come to mind as one source. No better way to showcase US
