I was fortunate to be able to go to part of the first ever OV-10 Broncofest in Ft Worth. We were in the back room of a local restaurant and a Bronco video was playing. The shot showed an OV-10 on short final to a carrier deck, everyone got real interested and as the Bronco hit the deck and stopped everyone was chanting " NO HOOK,NO HOOK" !!! It was a fun night, lot of war stories, and some emotional moments.

"I'm actually curious to know why the AME didn't point the problem out to me when he read the medical history form that I filled out."

It's like I said before AME's don't give a rats ass about you. :x
Been there done that.
I would stop flying to save money and hit the books because this will take 4-6 months to straighten out.

Good Luck,Phil

P.S. Look into the Sport Pilot thing

Phantom, anybody can land a F-14 or F-18 on a carrier, can't they? It's been done many times before. So I figured to throw in a little challenge, use one that dosen't even have a hook. Ok, you caught me, I'll have to admit I was thinking of Randy's posts about flying the F-15. Besides all them jets smell alike to me. Have you ever read the story of the pilot landing the Spit (not Seafire) on the carrier, with no practice and no hook? Now there's some flying! If I ever land on one, I hope it is in a Harrier! Actually I would like to try it in my J3 Cub, but I'd have to ask the ship to slow down a little so I could catch up.

I'm sure Mudge could land an F-15 and then he can be "Mudge the Unique" :D

As for the F-15, at least this one has a tailhook that might help him out a bit. 8)

Mudge,

To use an old quote, "It ain't over 'til it's over..", and it ain't over 'till you quit trying.

"They" said I couldn't get a license because of my eyesight - did that, '66 & '67. "They" said I couldn't fly a T-6 or -51, 'cause I was too young - did that - '70.

What's the other old quote...."Non Illegitimi Carborundum".......
(and, yes, I prolly misspelled it - my Latin's horrible)
