I wanted to write to all of you involved in a discussion that was taken too far last week, mainly by me.

I have been on pain medication for my broken toes and my stomach cancer and took things too far after reading my posts.

I wanted to let everyone know, it was not my intentions to offend anyone and that I love being a part of this forum.

Thanks to everyone who brushed my comments off and realized that I have never said anything like that before.

I was not in the right state of mind.

Cheers!

Paul, if anybody has a legit excuse for some brief comment it's you. I did not know of your health problems; I hope things go better for you. In my book, everyone has opinions, only those who never revise them are wrong.

Hi Paul,

Sorry we locked horns over the discussion, and I can now see how you were not in a good place at the time - thanks for being big enough to try and mend the bridges. You have my best, most sincere wishes hoping you recover your good health, something it's too easy to take for granted. In the meantime, let's all enjoy the forum for what it's about.

Good luck.

When you run across one of us who hasn't said (or in this case wrote) something we had second thoughts about, let me know. In the meantime, I wish you the best of health.

Paul, I agree with Eric and the other guys. Every one of us has said or done something that we later realized was the wrong thing. True friends will let those things slide because they know you didn't really mean them. So, don't worry any more about all of that. It's water under the bridge. You just concentrate on getting healthy! That's what's really important.

Cheers!

I hope everything is alright for you bud. As for the forum, when we have feelings about stuff we love, that sometimes leads to heated debates. That is why this place is great.

Paul...Missed the "dust-up". Please, think of yourself first and WHUP-UP on the big "C". Had 2 bouts with him myself and beat him both times.
All the best.

I love the internet. I love talking on/to it.

One of the problems with it is that folks can say things without other folks hearing tone/intent/nuance.

It's also enhanced by when we check the boards we frequent. We check in the morning, afternoon, after a long day, after several drinks. There can frequently be an anonymous-feeling disconnect where we say a variety of things in response to a variety of things we think the other guy meant.

It's gonna happen again to every one of us, bar none.

I wish that every occasional e-tough guy (and I mean this term in general...I didn't see the thread in question) would revisit the scene of their latest battle with a fresh eye, as you have done here. More power to you.

[pure silliness]But the old broken-toes-and-cancer defense? C'mon, man...that one hasn't worked in years! It failed me just last week![/p]

In all seriousness, I pray the best good fortune in your current battle.

Paul Krumrei, my respect.

I've been in this trade so long that when I stared the Dead Sea had only just reported sick.
