Could be Rayburn Thompson...

I have been invited to the Burnet show for a number of years, but have not made the whole show, due to either weather conflicts or being at Sun N Fun. Once I got there as it was ending Sun afternoon. In 05 I went to a lot of trouble to get ready to go down Fri, but the weather in Colo was bad IMC. I phoned them Sat, saying I might be late, and got the airshow radio frequecy. Finally I took off Sun. am, had a fuel stop at Amarillo and arrived overhead the airport about 1 pm. No one would answer my radio calls. The airshow waiver was high, up to about 6000 feet, so I circled several times as I looked down at a C-47 and B-25, etc flying passes, but no answer on the unicom or the show frequency I had been given. Finally I had to give up and land at Horseshoe Bay. Turns out the airboss had decided to change the show freq on Sun. Anyway I am planning and hoping to be there this year on Fri. I hope Rayborn comes too. I don't know if Lone Star flies their Spit, but the more the better.

Does anybody know if rattlesnakes hibernate? I was thinking that it is always good to get back to Burnet, anywhere in central or south Teaxas until I rememberd about those snakes!
