To quote twice Ace in a day Archie Donahue when asked;

"If I had to fight that war again, I would want to do it from the cockpit of a Corsair!"

Favorite WWII plane? P-51, to be specific, Nervous Energy V.

Other than that my most favorite planes are the Gee Bee and a ercoupe!

And yes, I did say an ercoupe :lol:

Steve, after annual it is good practice for a checkout flight. I find I have a small opening in my schedule and after the flight I might have another plane to add to my list of favorites.

Well, as y'all know, my heart belongs to the Corsair, but since they're so few and far between, I've been foolin' around with the T-6!

Favorite Plane I have flown: Spitfire MKIX. It's combination of great looks, historic importance, good performance and manueverabilty with easy handling is tops. Others: P-51, like a cousin to a Spitfire.: B-17, the Queen, only have a liitle right seat time including a low pass : Piper J3 Cub, 70 years on still a great trainer, and like a trip back into a simpler time of less stress, not for techno nerds. Planes I'd like to fly: Spitfire Mk V,(lighter, nimble, docile even if it doesn't have as much combat ability as later models), MK24, so much power and speed, Bearcat, Hellcat(both reputed to be easy to handle) Zero, Hurricane(historic as any) Mosquito, F86 Like most pilots I'd really like to fly them all.
