Saw another Stearman the other day.
There are 8 or so at the local field...not including two early "square tail" pre-war models.

Blessings

A B-17 just went by headed downshore, unfortunately I am about a mile
inland working and just caught her for a fews seconds between the trees. Caught the wonderful rumble of her engines though. :D

I am truly blessed. There is not a week that goes by where I don't see warbirds in the air, weather permitting of course. If the sight
and sound weren't so beautiful I could almost become blase' about them. Stearman, T-6, L-birds in formation, the occasional B-25, B-17, P-63 photo
formation a few years ago, an OV-1 last season flying in thru the drizzle, B-24, '51's and Jug awhile back...sigh..what's next?? :)

A few weeks ago I saw Liberty Belle at Hooks airport North of Houston. And this past weekend the CF bunch was in Conroe, TX with the 17, 24 & 25!

Yeah I may have heard her go over Friday before last, heading south. The
next day Steve S reported her at LSFM for maintainance of some sort. I
then heard something "round and multiple" head north along the shore
Sun or Monday noonish..again couldn't see her or them thru the trees.

I need to quit working and sit on the dock...I'm missing too much!!!

I believe Liberty Belle departed GLS 19Mar, Monday for Tucson after chasing out some landing gear problems over the weekend. That Saturday we put Thunderbird outside and put her inside so the her A&P's could get the jacks under her.

Daughter and I were out washing cars in the driveway Saturday afternoon; would have rather been buzzing along in the L-4 that we waved at...

I was out at a model aircraft event this past Saturday and had an FM-2 fly over which had just departed Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona. It looked like the Friedkin airplane, anyone know for sure?

Thanks for shaking the cobwebs loose Tom! I'm curious why she pulled into LSFM? Tooling? Room? Parts? or?

Airnutz..They were just looking for a place to light and work on her. They had been in Corpus Christi and flew her up to Galveston. That Saturday they were expecting parts to arrive in time to get her back in the air Monday..so tools, jacks..round motor friendly environment...Tom

tool he's got for a Busch 12 Pack..and he cooks really good mudbugs!! :D

Mike Gillian's new FM-2 that he just bought through Courtesy Aircraft. It had been stored at the CAF hangar. I imagine it was going down to Marana for some work at ATW.
