How many C-131's are still flying?

I saw this one the other day. They use it for mapping and other stuff...they wouldn't talk to me about it...

There are 28 registered with the FAA. How many of those are airworthy and flown regularly, I do not know...

There is one that comes in and out of Pit almost every night. It is red white and blue. It flies Cargo, but I don't know much about it.

Nobody said that it was a difficult maneuver. Just visually pleasing. Not as much fun as doing smoking hot passes down the runway in a C-172 but fun non-the less.

I looked at it as a nice low but safe pass. Anything lower would have been reckless.

Zane,

Where'd you spot the C-131? FAA database says it's a C-131B and gives the s/n as 53-7819. Owner listed as "Sale Reported". What an odd name...

Cheers!
