All you guys with the ANR headsets and fancy intercom systems just crack me up. Me, I just like to yell into the gossport.

But lately, I’ve found that I have to holler real loud to get my point across.

And the mouthpiece doesn’t smell nice for some reason.

Am I doing something wrong?

Try some draino and then stick something long in side the tube to force what ever is blocking it out. Then you'll be able to talk through it again!

BTW, what type of seat did you find that under?

I think drinking less water and using it for "other" purposes will solve your problem.

When I was wrenching on EA-6B's a while back. Our AME shop kept getting gripes from a certain ECMO about "clogged releif tubes"......he was a cronic "dipper" and was spitting that crap in the piss tube and plugging it up all the time. The flightdeck AME "shooter" fixed the problem once and forall.....during the final belly check just before the bird taxied to the cats, he stuck a peice of hyd tubing on the end of the piss tube sticking out the bottom of the aircraft. See....the existing tube sticks out about 1/2 inch and it's got an angled tip pointing to the rear of the A/C.....by wedging the new piece of tubing on with the angle pointing at the nose......

Well, the ECMO in question got a face full of his own spit and dip when he "pulled the trigger" on his piss tube

Never had another clogged releif tube the whole cruise.......
