Wouldn't the appropriate place for a P-38 reunion really be Burbank?

August

I would have to go with August on that one.

There will be two more P-38s flying by mid summer. That'll be 5 flying. We need a gathering.

Well, as long as Glacier Girl is flying the pond, there's this little summer get-together in Wisconsin...

I think that both spots would be great. The KOSH event which is the largest event, and then Burbank for some of the employees to get up close with a P-38 again.

I have been very fortunate to have known Bob Cardin on a first name basis, and have many pieces of the Glacier Girl. I even have an engine bearing out of her left engine after her first flight. The largest piece I have is about 36" by 10 ", is curved, and fit under the right wing next to the fuselage. I feel very sad that she had to leave Middlesboro, Kentucky. I enjoyed visiting everyone during our annual drive from Ohio to Tennessee where we vacationed. It will never be the same trip. There is another museum you should visit if you ever get to Tennessee. It is the Tennessee Museum of Aviation located in Sieverville, Tennessee. Neal Melton CEO, and John Shoffner both fly P-47D's out of that museum. Neal's is Hun Hunter XVI, and John's is Wicked Wabbit. Both super nice people. I hope we will be able to see Glacier Girl at an airshow. I was there for her first flight, and was there for an airshow in Middlesboro where both 23 Skidoo and the "Girl" flew together. Awesome is the only word that comes to mind!!

Come on, there has to be someplace of importance on the east coast! :(

No, I agree completely, that would be a really great place to have it. :D
