What nose art could you put on Diamond Lil that would really attract donations, and be unique at the same time. Now on previous post I have suggested a number of gorgeous gals to no avial. You could even put Bo Dereck a great looking conservative on the right side, and Gwyeth Palthrow on the left side, so all factions would be appeased. Lo0t's of Wixers went for the historic babes on bombers idea just as they did it in the war, however we did not hear from Gary. So here is another idea. Many of our members and ardent supporters went to U of TEXAS; some other portion went to that other place in College Station(lot's of station, not much college). On one side of LIL paint a picture of BEVO, the handsome and noble Longhorn mascot. On the other side paint one of Wakeup or whatever the mutts name is they follow at the Bryan junior college. Then at each airshow take up a collection with careful allocation to each side. After say 2 years the side raising the most money gets to remove the other mascot. Then maybe they'll be ready for a bodacious babe just like in the good old days.

I don't care if you do own and fly the most recognizable Spitfire in North America. That's just wrong !!

There hasn't been that much heresy spoken at one time since the Spanish inquisition ! :x

Agreed Rick.

Bill, how can you say three people constitutes "many of our members" being ardent supporters for the Univ of Texas? At least come up with a division I school that's on the national radar like Wisconsin or Ohio State... Schools should have mascots that eat their prey, not ones with a future as the Prime Rib special at Mo's Steakhouse.

OK now that's funny :P
I'm sorry but Oregon doesn't have much better to offer. One chews up trees and the other's aerial target for every nut with rifle

Actually, I think Bill's got a good idea. Not that I have any loyalty to any Texas school. (I'd really rather see:

Could be any rivals. I like it.
Gary, I'll shoot you a memo authorizing you to get started on it.

I agree Mudge....but hey "Gig'em Aggies!! I've never twisted a wrench on Diamond Lil but as far as I'm concerned she needs No Name Change, just the TLC she's getting and deserves. Greenwood is always stirring the pot..Tom

Bill,

I can only speculate from this post a few things I have no way of knowing for sure:

1. It seems from this post that you might have gone to college. (?)

2. Probably more of an Antone's guy than a Dixie Chicken guy.

3. I would have thought your mascot was Bullwinkle, didn't he also attend Whatsamatta U?

Is it a good idea to have a mascot that tastes good when grilled?

All the really cool mascots are rescued from the side of the road...

Gig 'em Aggies
