I noticed the other day that "Barbie III" was taken off the line up for TOM. Does anyone have a clue why? Im guessing something mechanical...

Per this thread, it's a scheduling conflict.

With Barbie III now offering the flight experience program out of Mesa, AZ they may not want to bring the aircraft all the way to Detroit for one show. The last I talked to one of the guys there, they were doing pretty well with the flight experiences, and taking the aircraft back to the mid-west may have been taken off the schedule for this summer.

I was at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo one afternoon a few years back and Barbie III showed up "out of the blue" one afternoon. Not sure what the occaision was. She sat on the ramp for a few hours while the crew was off doing something. When she left, she came back around for a flyby. She flew over the parallel taxiway, and blew the doors off some poor Cessna that had just taken off..I be it needed new opholstery after landing!
