First time since last Friday. Winds this week have been in the 20k...gusts to 30k range which is: WAAYY too much for the Warrior and WAAYY too much for my skill level.
I'm finally getting the hang of where to look when I'm landing. Did 3 today.
Attempted 4 but came in too high on one and had to go around. (What's the saying?
Better to go around and show people you can't land than to crash and PROOVE you can't land.)
# 1 was OK but due to my big feet, I pushed on the right rudder AND the right brake. That'll get your BP up.
#2 was the "go around" which I saw when I passed the numbers, I was gonna' have to do.
#s3 & 4 I GREASED.
# 4 was a bit long because the wind straight down the runway was beginning to gust and kept me up a bit longer than normal. Instructor said I handled it well. I just kept my cool, so to speak, and let it settle by itself just eke-ing the nose up a bit each time it wanted to slam down.
Get to fly the Cherokee Cruiser on Monday. Stubbier wings so that may be a bit of an adventure.
Can't tell ya' how glad I am my Medical was approved.
Mudge the encouraged
ps. I'm up to 18.5 hours. Actually think I'll solo well before Chino.
