This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

My heart goes out to Jack and his family. I am glad that his family is okay.
If anybody has his phone number could you please PM me with it?
And Jiggers, if you want to run an auction with the proceeds going to Jack and his family then that is fine with me.

I'm new here as well obviously but one thing that I keep coming back for is the wealth of knowledge and the wonderful photos that Jack posts. Photos are one thing, but people are irreplaceable. I'm glad everyone is safe, but am saddened for the loss of your home and pets. We'll be praying for you.

Very sad, and thank God the family got out safe.
Would be nice to assist him and his family, count me in for anything the group comes up with.

I’m so sad to hear this news. I can only imagine what it would be like to loose all he has lost. Our thoughts and prayers are with him. I always looked forward to seeing the wonderful photographs he presented to us and can’t believe they are gone. I will keep my eyes on the other post to see if I can help a little.
Sincerely,
Eric & Berni

Prayers and thoughts to Jack and his family.

darn this is bad news. My immediate though was "All that history lost" (after reading that no one was seriously hurt).
I'm glad all are OK and I wish Jack and his family all the best in restarting their lives.

That Sucks!!! I never have met Jack but you feel like everyone here is a personal friend because of the common bond we all share. To have lost all that history........ I'm relieved that his family except for the cats got out OK. I hope everything works out OK and along with the auction, maybe just have a thread to make a donation to help out.

Terrible news, but I think Jack knows that all of us here will help him and his family out in any way we can.

Does anyone have contact info? I would like to help if possible, I went through this in 1997, it takes a long time to recover.

That is tragic!. Jack is a great guy with a wealth of knowledge.

Jack, Sorry to hear this, glad you and the family made it out alive, sorry about the pets

Hang in there!

Really sorry to hear of Jack's misfortune.
Scott, how about doing something via PayPal like you did for the B-24 guns, so those of us who think it appropriate can put some $ in for him and his family?

If this is OK with the powers that be?
I see a green light from Dr. Rose, so I'll start this auction at $150.00
