Ah -- 29 years and 5 months ago... Now that is a scary thought! Anyway, here is Gerald Martin in trouble:

But he does manage to prevail in the end.

Thought somebody out there in WIX land might enjoy these oldies...

Mind if I play too Neal? This has been posted here before but it fits so nicely into this thread I didn't think folks would mind. Straight from Gerald Martin himself.

Unforunately the CAF lost that FM-2 at Houston a few years back.

I didn't know that -- I'm a long way from Texas. I'm very sorry to hear about it -- I have good memories of the aircraft...

Where is this wildcat now? Any current photos?

Here's another of the Wildcat in it's original CAF house colors. This pic also provided by Gerald Martin.

I tried to purchase it myself, but it was sold to an "annonymous buyer" after I was told that "we don't sell airplanes."

Trust me, you don't want any photos. Very rough, very sad.

That’s a shame! But I bet eventually shell be recycled back into the air in the future.

Remember we are not the owners of these aircraft but merely the current holders.
