Not for long! I hear they will be re-engining the C-5 fleet.

Is that still going to happen? The air Force was considering pulling out of that contract.

Last I heard they will re-engine some and retire the remainder.

Home is about at 7-8 mile final for Lackland.....hearing those come in is awesome......glad I like planes. But hearing the ANG F-16s scream outta there when doing an intercept in P49 or whatever they do is even more awesome.......I love plane noise..I love plane noise ......even in the middle of the night....LOL

I completely agree! I live under the approach for (EWR) Newark, and I dont mind a bit. The lower they fly the better

Ah, 'tis music to me ears, Laddie! I worked on C-5s back when they were just youngsters and even now I go sit under the the approach end of the runway whenever I can as the Westover ARB C-5s frequent BIA as it is a TCA(or whatever the term is now) with a much lower traffic load! Lots of touch and gos! Of course, I don't have to go to the airport as I both live and work under the traffic pattern(takes some planning!)!
