What would you do with an F-4 nose?

I have a couple of ideas, but I think it would be cool to have my mailbox be a part of it! :D

got a big wall???????? get a pic of a F-4 head on and make it into a wall paper and put it on your wall to scale and then hang the nose up where it should be so it looks like its comming through the wall....................back when i was single, I had a BE-1900 radome and nose gear door, at the bottom we cut a nose tire and had it at the bottom...........pretty cool for the guys but was frowned on by any ladys

Why do I cringe at the thought that there will now be several pages of nose picking jokes?

I was just commenting on the rough fiberglass on the edges, the scuffs that go throught the spraylat, etc...

Besides I couldn't help myself  !

I'd find the rest of the airframe to go with it!

Seriously, Im not one for just a cockpit stuck on a wall. I'd restore it to it original configuration and markings. :D

What do you do if your nose goes on strike?

Picket.

Surely there are an infinite number of punchlines to this...

Wait, are we talking about an F-4 radome or the whole front cockpit section?

There's at least one guy with an F-4E what I'd call nose (from front of the cone to right behind the WSO seat, complete with intakes) which is painted up in T Birds markings. Its fully stocked out and he travels to airshows and lets people sit in it and get there pic taken for a charge.

That would be something neat to do. The US Gov won't part with an airframe, but just ask for the nose to be chopped off of say an F-14?

Then the challenge would be to restore it as close to stock as possible.

Pete
