A B-17 with 3 engines over NY this weekend?

Tue Oct 19, 2004 1:24 pm

I just read this on the 1941 HAG site. Any details out there?

It most likely is the Belle or Fuddy Duddy. Both are were in NY over the weekend ( I assume the belle still is in Geneseo)

Word from the HAG is that it was the Belle. It had a drop in oil pressure and had to feather it.

I was talking to Frank at Geneseo over the weekend and I'm pretty sure he said Tallichet has kept his B-17 and C-47 there all year. They may have some exciting news comming out of there soon. I will let you know if things happen as planned.

I know the site says they will be wintering both birds over the winter. I also heard that they were going to be looking at David Tallichet’s B-25 as an addition to the museum, because “Old Gray Mare” was sold (I think that was the B-25).

AIRIC, Now you have me dreaming about other bigger things that I’d love to see.
