Boneyard aircraft pictures?

Sun May 20, 2007 6:46 am

Hello,

Would anyone here have any pictures of boneyard aircraft. Particularly Davis-Monthan/AMARC?? I currently started a model diorama project of AMARC boneyard in 1/144 scale. Currently building a C-118. But would also liketo start soon on a couple C-47's in the two tone half white, half silver scheme. I am making the aircraft look derilic with missing parts, wings, wheels, ect, faded paint.

It's a cool project and it will be a log term job.

Thanks,
Nathan

Hi Nathan,
I have a C-118 in my backyard. It's owned by the Pacific Coast Air Museum on the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport, in Santa Rosa, CA. I live on the west side of the airport and see the plane daily. If you would like I could take some pictures of this airplane and send a disc to you.

Nathan,

I have a couple of shots of an F-5E Tiger II
cockpit and tail that I phototgraphed in Kuala Lumpur
in 2003 if its of interest. It was in a pile in some trees
at Sungi Besi AFB where there was rows of radar
equipment and other aircraft "goodies" just
sitting there stored outside.

Go to: www.uswarplanes.net
Scroll down to the "F-5" page in the menu and its
in there.
