Kind of from a slightly other perspective, I am basically blind without my contact lenses and my eye condition makes them get irritated quite often so I find myself "listening" to TV and closing my eyes. Some shows are horrible for listening to such as "Lost" that show sucks to listen to, history channel and that aren't bad to listen to since they are narrated.

I don't like a quiet house, the stereo or tv is always on during the day unless i'm down in the basement playing with the trains or not home :)

All I know is that due to my wifes taste in TV... I hear this multiple times during the night...

"In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories."

For me it depends on what is going on at the hangar or in the shop as to what background music is going. If it's with a bunch of the other guys around, or the weekend, then it's load up the CD changer with Glenn Miller and the like. If I'm by myself, then I'll flop around though the CD's. When I need to stay away at 3 or 4 in them morning out there, then it's stuff like the Stones or BTO or Iron Butterfly, or a little Bach on the pipes and crank in the power.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K). It's hysterical. I like to have it on in the background when I'm working on a house project (painting, etc.).
